LAAS Shelter Direct Lines

Question...are there direct lines for County? Do they have rescue coordinators? (I think I already know the answer to that...) How about names of staff/volunteers there that are actually helpful?

I try to send people to County, but they muck it up so much they scare away all the potential adopters! So any info on who to talk to would be helpful.

there are no volunteers who network for county shelters, to my knowledge. however, these 2 ladies do networking for 2 shelters w/in the county system (tho neither is an actual volunteer, to my knowledge):

actually, according to cyndi zacko, direct line for carson shelter is: 310-527-5158.

i called 310.527.5158 to put an IP on some carson cats and after about an hour, i've been on hold several times and have only 1/3 the information i want. the woman i'm talking to (i doubt she'll be back on the line; likely it will be someone else when they pick up again) said best to call the main county shelter line, which is 562.658.2081 x 2 for information, since if one calls the shelters directly, in-person inquiries take priority and one will be put on hold endlessly like i am now.

Please be aware that the City Shelters are no longer open late on Tuesday and Thursday. They close at 5:00pm.
