HI ALL: Just got off the phone with Sue Zucker who is the Adoptions/Rescue Coordinator at the New Western Riverside Shelter and she has informed me that Riverside is now offering a reduced pull and adoption fee of only $20. for an altered, vaccinated, and microchipped dog.

Riverside has been euthanizing hundreds of dogs each week. The statistics are horrible for this shelter and in the previous few months, they have worsened. Sue Zucker works Tuesday through Friday, but you can also call her after hours or on her days off and she will help you out as best she can. Her work cell number is 951-232-7727.

You can also coordinate with Sue to visit and select dogs and to pick up dogs before the shelter opens. You can pay with debit/atm/credit cards via phone and then just do a pick up or have volunteers pick up. Finally, Sue can give you a profile of the temperament, etc. as she knows the doggies personally.

PLEASE rescue from this shelter. They are huge and likewise have a huge amount of animals pouring in daily. They are killing poodles, malti mixes, puppies, kitties...you name it, they're killing it. Sue is going crazy trying to save as many as she can, but she needs the help of The Rescue Community.

The New Western Riverside Shelter is located at 6851 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA

Wow! That's incredible Anna - have you posted this info on FB? ☺

Sue Zucker - Now that's a person with the heart of a saint...gives out her after-hours cell...arranges adoptions for non-business hours...I wish there were more like her at all of our shelters.
